1/8" plywood cowl ring was fitted and glued on the firewall. I made sure sand the edge of the cowl ring to fit the angle inside of the cowl for a better fit. Eight maple cowl mount blocks were also fitted to match the shape of the cowl as well. These blocks have not yet been glued into place as I have not yet decided as what fasteners I will use to attach the cowl.
